In late  2025 Mudgee's Regent Theatre was sold, once again, after lying dormant for 18 years.  Built in 1935 this Art Deco masterpiece had  left indelible memories in the hearts and minds of the Mid West Region's citizens, all hoping the doors would one day open again.`

After 15 years of endeavouring to acquire the Regent for the benefit of the wider community,  the day finally arrived when contracts were exchanged on the 23rd of October 2025 with Mudgee Heritage Investments Pty Ltd. Mudgee local Alan Kerr & Mudgee tragic Mark Hoddinott are the founding shareholders & directors.

Together with the community,  the journey now begins to restore this wonderful piece of Mudgee history.
